Although this book has a lot of information on the different styles of yoga and their ideal potentials, it also has simple "straight-to-the-exercises" sections that are perfect for someone trying to add minutes of yoga to their daily routine simply to increase flexibility.
However, NOTE: The book does stress the sequence of positions being very crucial, but does not cover much of the motion between poses. After taking several yoga classes I have learned it is much more beneficial to move fluidly between every pose in the book, as not to stress any muscles.
This book is a great starter to stretching daily, but I would still recommend a yoga class or two for the experience.

If you want to learn what yoga is all about Yoga for Dummies is a great introduction and beginning yoga reference. However, if you are only interested in yoga postures, there may be books better suited to your needs - such as Hatha Yoga Illustrated or Beth Shaw's YogaFit.
