Additional Book Details Do you want your students to just take psychology or to experience psychology? Experience Psychology is a complete learning system that empowers students to personally, critically, and actively experience the impact of psychology in everyday life. Experience a Personalized Approach How many students think they know everything about introductory psychology but struggle on the first exam? With virtually no administrative overhead, instructors using LearnSmart are reporting an increase in student performance by a letter-grade or more. Some of these helpful notes highlight crucial terms and concepts; others prompt students to think critically about the complexities of the issues; other notes encourage students to apply what they have learned to their prior reading or to a new situation.
For your students that complete the assigned reading and study in measured doses, The Science of Psychology offers a narrative that presents psychology as a science that addresses function as well as dysfunction and where the various subfields are interconnected.

Good overall teaching of Psychology. Just eh. This book had quite a lot to offer, but it was lacking in the delivery. Some of the sample test questions, which were paired with answers located in the back of the book, didn't match up with the required readings. Some of them even offered incorrect answers.
Also, King tried to make things so relevant to the "NOW" generation that she provided some stories and characters, pulled while drifting in the WWW, which didn't even turn out to be accurate. Sadly, my lowest score Eh. Sadly, my lowest score yet.
Really good textbook to learn basic psychology. It takes you through all the basics, the people, theories, and what they all mean. If you know very little about psychology and are interested in what it is all about, I recommend this book. Aug 02, Linda Branham Greenwell rated it it was amazing Shelves: A good overall teaching of psychology.
It has many good examples and questions for the students - which I will use as class discussions. We have completed the book!
