Liked the recipes but found the techniques so different that I couldn't adjust to using them. Tried some recipes but the family didn't like them as much as I did. Beautifully written and photographed, we just couldn't put the recipes into our lifestyle yet. Maybe when the kids are older. River walker.
I enjoy cooking but found only 3 recipes that I would make. He uses a lot of grains of different sorts which my husband isn't very fond of and other ingredients that I couldn't download living in a small town.
Have enjoyed other books of his but not this one, so I passed it on to a friend. Great healthy recipes that are nutritionally balanced. Lots of herbs and spices so if you don't have them in the cupboard can be a bit expensive to start out but soon evens out. My family have enjoyed these recipes a lot and we have lefts overs for lunches which is an added bonus.
This book has got me thinking about the basics again.
