Of course, there's always been a healthy market for design written by experts, and this isn't likely to change any time soon. Sometimes there's just no substitute for splashing your cash and getting high quality content in return. But there's a growing movement towards free and 'freemium' content on the web.

That was her ebook. And she had the idea to eventually go back and upgrade it to make it better, but never ended up doing that and it worked just fine and it sells like crazy. Spoiler alert: I prefer to outsource everything. The reasons are: 1: Money downloads speed. This is a bit of a preference thing, but I really love that polished look that comes when a pro designer does my ebook.

I also think that this does help a bit with the pricing. You are able to price your ebook in a way which matches its quality. So, if this is something that you are proud of, then the design should match it. That is why my preference is to outsource the ebook design and packaging. Just write the ebook with what you have now. If cyou don't know anything about packaging design this book is a good place to start. It also covers the history of package design giving you good background information to start with.

Although not an exciting read it contains some valuable information and I expect it to be a great resource in the future.

Ideal to be used in class and keept in every designer bookshelf. You'll probably only download this book if you're forced to by your Graphic Design class in university. But that's a shame because the quality of this production, from the extensive survey of packaging design history from a Neolithic jar to Seventh Generation laundry detergent to the interesting case studies, to the samples of various modern packages would be a fascinating book for anyone to have on their coffee table.

Of course, like many in the design field, the creators of a design product failed to take into account the very topic they describe inside: The cover is uninspired and the book is just a square book.

Also, there are noticeable misses in the history of packaging design such as the best wine packaging Bonny Doon and of course, the brilliant Apple packages A packaging design book without the iPod?? All in all, this is a great book on the topic. A history nerd will love the old images and a design nerd will love the case studies.
